Quickstart

Run your first Beam session.

Beam is built around a host-first workflow. The operator launches the desktop app, starts hosting, shares a code, and sends the guest into a browser-ready join path backed by Beam infrastructure.

Operator flow

  • Launch the Beam desktop app on Windows.
  • On the Home screen, copy the code shown under Your Address.
  • Use Start hosting when you are ready to expose the current screen.
  • Share the code directly or route the session through your own product using the Beam API.
  • Use Recent sessions to reconnect quickly to prior room IDs.

Viewer flow

Beam is designed so viewers can join through a browser-facing flow backed by Beam signaling, relay, and WebRTC services. That makes it easier to embed the entry point inside your own portal, support workflow, or admin surface.
